Kv66 Olympics:
The biggies decided that an Olympics-style collection of games would be a fun activity for the smallies to participate in whilst they were here.
The biggies dressed up with random outfits that matched their group's name, then paraded out, and displayed their flag to everyone, whilst also showing off their ridiculous outfits.
We came up with the activities, and led them, explaining the rules, and awarding points. The groups went round in turn, and completed the challenges.
The activities:
- We participated in a box race where we had to make a path with three crates without touching the ground. We worked as a team to make our way forward; we were far behind, but eventually caught up with the other team. We thought that it was fun, and an intense game because we are a competitive group.
- At the next challenge, there were three dice that were rolled: one decided how many people there were going to be, and the other two decided how many hands and feet. You had to create a human stack as quickly as possible with having that certain number of people, hands and feet. The stack was one of the more enjoyable activities.
- We needed to put our hand into a bag, and try to guess what the object inside was by touch. Once you had guessed what you thought it was, you could pull it out of the bag and see the object. We thought that it was hysterical when people could do something embarassing to earn more points.
- The coin drop game was where two groups competed to drop coins into a glass that was in a bucket of water. Whoever got more coins in the glass received more points. The game was quite skilful, but was quite challenging also.
- During the game of mat flip, each team was given a mat that had to be flipped in the shortest time possible, whilst keeping all their members on the mat at one time. The fastest time was four seconds, and the challenge was intruiging, as you could try many various options, such as jumping, or slowly flipping the mat.
- For the next game, we started by pulling the spoon and the string attached to it through our clothes. After that, we tried to put it through as many clothes as we could, to earn more points. It was easy, but you needed to work with your team.
- For the guessing game, we couldn't remember anyone's names, so we didn't know who each biggie was. We were given a list of things that they had done, such as coming out of the closet, having a child and other unmentionable ones. This challenge was nonsensical and weird.
We thoroughly enjoyed the activities, biggies and smallies alike, and though some of the games were rather odd, they were fun to particpate in.
